McKinsey reports that eight in 10 respondents in a global survey say they have taken on digital transformation projects in the past five years. Yet only 16% percent of respondents say their organizations’ digital transformations have successfully improved their performance.
One of the key tools in pursuing digital transformation is advanced analytics. However, recent research from MIT Sloan Management Review and Boston Consulting Group finds that a mere 10% of organizations achieve significant financial benefits with AI.
This leads many firms to doubt the strategic role of analytics and ask whether analytics should be part of the digital transformation journey, where it fits in, and what value it can provide.
