Patients are more in charge of their health records thanks to the 21st Century Cures Act. The ONC’s Cures Act Rule implements interoperability and gives patients and healthcare providers transparent and secure access to health information. While healthcare organizations should avoid information blocking, they also need to keep compliance top of mind which can be challenging.
