Smart factories: driving productivity in challenging times

23rd June 2020 | 3:00pm - 4:00pm CET | 9:00am EST | 1 hour
Can smart factories help manufacturers navigate through the current volatility and beyond?

Manufacturers are expected to increase investment in smart factories significantly in the next three years.

And they will need to. The industry was already under pressure to transform thanks to ageing infrastructures, rising customer expectations, increased business demand and competition from faster and more agile rivals. Now, global lockdown has intensified that pressure by adding further disruption to supply chains, operations and ways of working.

Becoming smarter and more connected is central to that response.

Technologies such as advanced automation, cloud computing, 5G networking, virtual assembly technologies, autonomous vehicles, remote maintenance, cobots (collaborative robots), drones and 3D printing are already transforming the way we manufacture. Can they also help us to navigate through the current environment and beyond?

Dell Technologies in partnership with NVIDIA, and in combination with some of the most innovative voices in the industry, will be exploring this very topic as we look to uncover how to become a smarter manufacturer in the Transformation Tune-In series. Has the current environment stalled or accelerated your digital transformation programs? Where do the major challenges lie? Who is doing transformation well? And what are the solutions can have an immediate impact on your business, today? Join us to find out.
